The Great New York State Fair

We have made it to the fair twice so far. Last Saturday we went with some friends visiting from Ithaca. We had a perfect day with the Gardners. The weather was mild and we waiting out one large storm in the circus show! I braved the fair by myself and with all three kids on Tuesday (which turned out to be senior citizen day!..so I put smiles on lots of old faces with those babies and waited A LOT). Here are some highlights..sorry not too many, but our hands were full of junk food most of the time and not the camera.

Liam was in the Puppet Parade. This is the puppet that he chose to parade through the fair grounds. As you can see, Chuck did the holding and Liam did the waving.

He rode a pony! This was very exciting because last year he wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with horses. We are so glad he has changed his mind.

He fed a giraffe! He squealed with delight everytime this giraffe curled down her gray tongue for another carrot.

The policeman who would not let me put Liam on their Harley took this shot of us next to it instead and then gave us an outdated calendar. We are headed back again this weekend..we will try to get some more memorable shots.
